Hilde loves to be in the middle of things

I think it is the nature of a Golden to want to be smack dab in the middle of what everyone is doing. I think Hilde thinks she is just trying to be helpful.

Drink and Swim

Hilde and I walked to the beach Thursday morning before I had to go to work. She loves the water! She walks with her mouth open and her head down so she can cruise and drink at the same time...

Puppy visit day

This day last year is the day we got to go to puppy visit day at Rolling Oaks the place we got Hilde. We didn't know which puppy she was at the time, but we did meet her! It was a mass of cute little (and kinda stinky!) puppies running around and falling asleep in their tracks. We also got to meet Hilde's parents Captain and Ivy. They are BIG dogs. Guess what- Hilde is a BIG dog too!

Hilde's cousin Chelsey

This week we are babysitting Hilde's cousin Chelsey. Ok- she is the dog of my friend Carla. We call them cousins. They love each other. Here are some of this weeks activities.

Happy Belated Birthday

Hilde got a very nice birthday card from my friend Shannon's Mom, Marilyn. I read it to Hilde over lunch and set it on the island in the kitchen. Well, I have long said Hilde and the kitty Willy are in cahoots. Willy (I can't prove this) most likely kicked/knocked the card off of the island allowing Hilde to have free access. The picture below shows the result. It was a very sweet card with a golden on it. As Ray pointed out we know Hilde really enjoyed the card. So thank-you for the card and Hilde really, really enjoyed it...

Hilde's sister

When Hilde's sister Anu passed away last spring we were given tulips by her vet Dr. Goodell. We planted them last fall and they have come up beautifully. They are a lovely reminder of our sunshine Anu.
