Tonight was week five of six in puppy kindergarten. Hilde has learned sit, stay, come and down. She has also worked on walking nicely on a leash, being a polite girl with people and with other dogs.
Here are some of the puppies during play time. Here is Hilde demonstrating her AP (advanced puppy) skills. She is sitting nicely, paying attention to me and saying puppy please for a treat or love.
Hilde went to the farm on Sunday to be a farm puppy. She had a good time running around and eating all sorts of things including a wasp, which didn't sting her. She also tried to eat a bumble bee and it DID sting her. She got stung on her nose.
Here is Hilde relaxing in the grass with a cob of field corn.
Here is Hilde running around Dad's dirt patch, which will be a grassy bank when it rains.
Here is Hilde chewing corn in the greenery. Hilde and more corn... Well look at this Minnesota pup. She sure looks like a pro at this corn eating!
Here is Hilde and Dad's masterpiece- the outhouse.
http://www.cloudstar.com/ has some good doggie stuff. Hilde had their cookies and she LOVES them. I see they also have some other natural products for dogs. We try to keep Hilde clear of chemicals in her food, toys and other products. It is harder then one would think. Even more so when she eats things like the couch, a plastic cup, the cat (I guess they are pretty natural) or racoon poo. Oh- I guess that is pretty natural too!
Hilde has this funny fluffy hair on the top of her head. When you brush her hair backwards it sticks straight up and she looks like one of those crazy chickens with the funny thing on the top of its head. She is starting to get her adult fur, so I took some pictures of her fuzzy head while she still has it!
Here is a video and a picture of Hilde and her friend Cinder. Cinder lives down the street and these two really like each other. When we walk past Cinder's house Hilde cries if she doesn't get to see Cinder. The other day Cinder was out and we didn't stop and Cinder cried too!
Yesterday we went to the vet to pick-up Hilde's heartguard and Frontline for the month. Because the is growing so quickly we get them one month at a time. At the vet she weighed 29 pounds. We also went to Chuck and Don's. She weighed 32 pounds on that scale.
